Time to move on .......

Since the age of around 2 1/2 Emily has attended "special" sessions at

WALKER STREET CHILDRENS CENTRE

She started for one play session per week focusing on helping with speech and language development with Sharon, Michelle and Wendy - who where amazing with her ~ thank you for all your help and guidance during those early days.

Emily then moved up in to the Nursery Classroom for two sessions per week in January 2009.  The waiting list for places here is a long one, so usually time is limited ~ I understand it to be for two terms {oops, we slightly outstayed our welcome}  {Infact I know ALL of the staff loved Emily to pieces so actually they just hung-on to her for as long as they could get away with it - he he]

Emily has been going to this Nursery for a year now ~ sadly it is time to move on :>(

I will definately miss ALL of the wonderful staff
LIZ, KAREN, JACKI, JULIE & LYNNE

and will miss Emily stood waving goodbye to each of their photos on the wall outside the classroom door!!!!!  Every session we had to do this....

I will miss admiring all of the childrens art work on the corridor wall

But, most of all I will miss the chats, advice and guidance of these wonderful people ~ thank you for all that you have done for us

and Emily will miss you too xx

(I will share with you a little thing that I did for the staff of the Childrens Centre Classroom as no expensive gift seemed right {plus I couldn't afford it he he} so I did the following and laminated it etc......)

Childrens Centre Party..

Emily waited very very patiently... shaking her bells {he he}

Her little face full of excitement....

Totally totally mesmerized by whom she was about to see...

No fear either - she loved him...... and his helpers

She loved her present too...... a lovely "pink" princess book

Another very proud moment for us - she loved Santa and even sat on his knee ~ that's massive progress, Emily even amazed all of her teachers!!!

All of the presents were donated by some wonderful students from Hull College whom raised money for all of the gifts, I believe the Elves etc where infact some of the students - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THESE SPECIAL CHILDREN x

PROUD AS PUNCH.......

Today had to be one of the proudest days of my life.

Emily took part {with the help of her amazing support worker} in the Christmas performance "Woops-a-Daisy-Angel" at the pre-school group she attends at our local church hall.

Emily played the part of Rudolph

Obviously Emily didn't have a speaking part, but, she did as she was asked at the front of the stage with one other child [without her support worker going with her!!!!]

She also took a bow with the rest of the cast very appropriately.

{Sorry these photos aren't great quality - it was very dark and my flash wasn't bright enough plus I have then zoomed in too - eeekk!!}

All of the children did amazing, everyone was very proud and there weren't very many dry eyes during the show I don't mind telling you.

Thank you to everyone {especially Siobhan} for making us the proudest Mama & Papa on this planet.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS
xxxx
