4 years......

I find it hard to believe that 4 years have passed by so very very quickly...... This is the only photograph I can find of me when pregnant with Emily!!  I didn't get the chance to grow any bigger as my pregnancy was cut so short and Emily had to make an emergency entrance in to this world..... It has passed so quickly but the journey has been long, full of fear, heartache and grief ~vs~ un-conditional love, determination, achievements, proudness, smiles, happiness and more importantly made us appreciate what we have "A Beautiful Little Girl" and what is truely important in life.....

So today my blog is plain and simple....... it's to wish our gorgeous and very brave little pumpkin a

WE LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH and FEEL HONOURED THAT YOU CHOSE US TO BE YOUR PARENTS - YOU HAVE TAUGHT US SO MUCH xxxxxx

"A Christmas Carol"

Did you know that this is my favourite festive film....

I love it........ the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit and his poor family!

This is a light hearted post really....... but this morning I'm realising that poor Bob and his family are showing a resemblance to my own family situation!!!

My hubby has been a rather "mature" apprentice for the last 3 years...... money has been extremely tight to say the least but this was our choice and a way of making a better future for us as a family....

We thought the hardship would stop now that he has qualified....... he's now a fully qualified Joiner (yippee) - qualified nearly 5 months ago now.

Alas ~ no happy ending to this story........ these "economic" times are not great for most businesses ....... so no pay reward from been an "apprentice" to now been "qualified" and also been stuck in a no-win situation as there aren't any jobs out there to apply for either.

Is he been taken adventure of ?? - YES I personally feel he is

Could more be done to at least acknowledge the fact that he is now qualified ?? - YES I personally feel there could be

So here I am "Mrs Cratchit" complaining to her hard working husband "Bob" that that old "Ebenezer Scrooge" doesn't deserve his loyalty........ while all along wondering what the future holds for our own "Tiny Tim / Emily"

I am hoping the ghosts of Christmas' past / present & future make their visits to our Ebenezer this year..............

Obsession of the week.......

This weeks obsession is one of Mummys masterpieces "attempts" at art....

The main thing is my special little girl thinks Mummy is amazing...... and loves her new play-thing.......

This week we have tried to bump up the festive spirit......

This week Emilys obsession is.......

 Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

With love to you all - especially those of you who haven't laughed "thank you"...

Made me Giggle.....

So I had to just post this as it made me giggle and brought back to me a few posts on the C17 forum which we have had lately.

Some of the families {our new special family} posted recently saying about their children going walk-abouts during the night.........  Emily is no different!!!!

She does it very often [he he] - we put her to bed, she falls asleep sometimes in bed, sometimes not in bed or sometimes we wake up in the middle of the night and she is no longer in bed!!!

Due to Emilys epilepsy we have TV monitoring in her room so that we can see her {just in case!!}.  Quite often though she suddenly disappears................. so I had to share these with you!!

One minute she was in bed the next minute we found her here ..

Fast asleep on the landing outside her bedroom door - and YES with her feet up the wall!!!

A few minutes later she was back where she belonged...

still fast asleep - sssshhhhhh

SWEET DREAMS OUR LITTLE PRECIOUS ONE xx

and TO YOUR BIG BROTHER TOO....
